GET YOUR GEARS IN-SYNC…YOUR MIND

July 1st, 2009

Your mind is a vital component of your success gear box.  Heart + soul + mind + strength = success.  The mind has limitless creativity and is one of the most powerful tools you have as you travel the road to success.  Tapping into this creativity will bring into being what up to this point has only been a vision. GET YOUR GEARS IN-SYNC… YOUR EYES

June 24th, 2009

Metaphorically our eyes speak of VISION, and vision is a key component for success in life.

Jonathon Swift said: “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” Read the rest of this entry »

Get Your Gears In-Sync… Your Heart

June 18th, 2009

I’m not referring to the physical pump within your body. I’m referring to that inanimate part of your being that is often hard to describe. Your heart is important to God:

“…The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” [1 Samuel 16:7 – NIV]

The condition of your heart is critical to your success in life. It is the place where passion and emotions originate.

BE INVOLVED – NOT ISOLATED

June 16th, 2009

Christians should not limit themselves to hiding within the confines of the 4 physical walls most people call “the church.” Hiding from the world among other believers is nothing more than ISOLATIONISM, which means no intervention in the affairs of our communities. It also means to protect oneself form being entangled with another. This just does not fit in the mission that Christ has left us with. To win souls and make disciples. Read the rest of this entry »

ARE YOUR GEARS IN SYNC?

June 3rd, 2009

One of the most irritating sounds in life is that of grinding gears. When you hear that sound you just know things are bad. It occurs in some automobiles, and many other types of mechanical equipment. It can even occur in your own life, and when it happens you know something isn’t right. So, what can you do to make sure that piece of equipment or more importantly, your life, operate successfully? Read the rest of this entry »

What We Learned in the Last 3 Weeks

May 3rd, 2009

A ton! I’m not as smart as I thought I was. I’m not as loving as I thought I was. My passion for the things of God is not nearly where I thought it was. I’ve been humbled for sure. After traveling to 5 countries throughout Asia I have seen the pain and suffering of little children without proper food, clothing and housing, and I have also seen the joy and passion of a new generation that is taking the world for Christ in every way they can. It seems that these 2 things are incompatible, but when people reach out to those who are hurting at all levels of life without regard for their own comfortable level of living, lives are changed forever. Look At What Faith In God Can Do!

River of Life Children - Thailand

River of Life Children - Thailand

I thought I had faith, but WOW! Not sure I even come close after experiencing River of Life Children’s Home in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Our good friends and directors of the home, Pat & Debbie Wheeler went to this city almost 14 years ago, and they are a testimony of living by faith. In the picture below you can see all 20 of the children currently being cared for at the home along with Pat & Debbie and some of the workers there. At one point they were caring for 25 kids, but some have now gone off to university or onto great jobs because of the love they have received from people just like you who support this work. A Collision With God in Singapore!

April 21st, 2009
The praise and worship exploded and over 8,000 people stood with hands lifted high.

The praise and worship exploded and over 8,000 people stood with hands lifted high.

We departed from Singapore earlier today, and I miss it already. My life was impacted beyond words. Rhonda and I had the honor of attending one of the world’s great churches last Sunday morning…City Harvest Church, pastored by Kong Hee. From the moment we stepped into the auditorium until we left the building 2 hours later we had a true “encounter with God.” One that we cry out for in our lives every day. We went to Singapore to see how God moves in the life of a pastor and a church when they “sell out” to His call, but there is no doubt we received more than that…we had a true collision with God (as one of the young men in our church puts it…thank you Drew). Powerful Night in Manila

April 19th, 2009
An Evening in Manila

An Evening in Manila

After spending our first day at the feeding programs in Marikina City, Manila, Rhonda and I spent the next evening at Miracle Life Fellowship with Pastor David Dario. It was a powerful time in God’s Word and we ended the night praying for almost every person in the room. The needs were great…healing, jobs, finances, relationships…and their faith was high. The Spirit of God was moving in lives.
